Kimcha d'Pischa

- Maos Chittim

Before Pesach (Passover) it is customary to collect funds for Kimcha d'Pischa (flour for Pesach) or for Maos Chittim (money for wheat) to distribute to the needy and the indigent to purchase Matzah and other necessary festival provisions.

Kimcha d'Pischa - Maos ChittimWhen we come to our Seder table, how could we make the statement 'Let all who are hungry come and eat', knowing that there are hungry people in our community? However, if we had made attempts to provide the hungry with food before the festival, we can sincerely say as we begins our seder, 'If there are still hungry people who we were unable to help because we did not know of their need, let them come and join with us.'"

Zdaka center will be delivering Pesach food vouchers to needy families in Jerusalem before the holiday so any donation, no matter what the size would be greatly appreciated. A generous donation of $180 will help sponsor a needy family for all of Pesach.

Please remember the poor in Jerusalem when you give tzedakah this Pesach.

Any donation will help a needy family celebrate Pesach with joy
